Hi, hello, yes, I will be heading over to Dreamwidth once the mad rush of importing slows down enough to let me into the queue. Same username, I snagged it years ago (during Strikeout maybe?).

Will probably leave this journal here for a while until I have time to fix the internal links that would be borked if I deleted. I'm not really the same person anymore who made most of those entries, but I used to be her, and those who forget their personal history may be doomed to repeat it.

Liveblogging the Oscars. Let there be no wins for Casey Affleck! Or for Mel Gibson, if it comes to that, although I don't think Hacksaw Ridge is really a serious contender for much of anything.

Edit: I was in fact still watching when The Surprising Thing happened, but had shut down my computer so it's not included in the liveblog.

The BAFTAs and the Grammys are on the same night this year. I'm recapping the Grammys, despite the fact that I probably don't know any of the songs. The duets between unexpected artists have become something of a highlight.

I'm making an effort to be on LJ a bit more, in hopes that people may be heading back over here as the FB/Twitterverse becomes more and more a source of overload rather than a useful place for thinking out loud and hoping that one's friends will see it.

I'm unlikely to post anything political, or, really, anything of substance, on account of I tend to initiate those conversations offline if I'm inclined to initiate them at all. But there's a pretty good chance I'm listening.

A friend is hosting a discussion on her Facebook about what it means to take a break from theater. My story of how I came to my current hiatus was too long to post there, so I'm posting here and linking it there.
